My Show! 07 Finals

Hi folks! Smash Inc will be playing in the finals of My Show! 07. Its a band competition cum concert with special guests such as Ronin performing. Do come down and support us and check out the other bands too!

It's Only You - Valentine's Day Special

Hi Folks! we have recorded our drum, bass, guitar and keyboard tracks for our new song "Easier"@ SAE Institute. It certainly wasnt an easy process though, given the limited amount of time that we had. Anyway, as promised, here's the video of us performing "It's Only You" in NTU on V Day 07.

Love (Songs) in the air

Hi! We took part in a love song writing competition at canteen A today, yes Valentine's Day, organised by NTU CAC. We won first prize with "It's Only You"! Leroy performed the lovely duet with Gina and the rest of the band supporting on drums, bass and acoustic guitar. Its a pity Ivan cldn't make it due to his Industrial Attachment (IA), else we could have the violin effects and strings to make it sound fuller. I'll post pics once i get them, and prob upload the video soon. Ross' bandmates, Rahmat and Kenneth, from Sponge won 2nd place with their acoustic original. Congrats to you guys!

Recording @ SAE Institute

Hi boys and girls! We'll be recording our new song "Easier" @ SAE Institute in the coming week. Big thanks to my good friend, Jun Han, from stentorian for the kind contacts. It's gonna be a busy week and hopefully we can stick to schedule and lay the tracks fast and error-free.

We'll also be having a photographer, Jasmine, who will be shooting our practise sessions and gigs this semester. She is a student from the Art Design Media School, the funky new arts school in NTU with the uber cool grass patch extending all the way towards the top of the building. Its hard to describe - you gotta see it to believe it.

Thank God for student projects :)

Less is more

Hello world, I have decided to revamp our little blog which has been inactive for way too long. i realised the previous background made it rather difficult to view the blog entries. Ok simplicity is the keyword now. Meanwhile, pls put up with the under construction sites and do pop by our myspace site and add us @ www.myspace.com/smashinc


Updates!
We have just written 2 songs recently. There's one which I love to call "Funky Chicken", dun ask me why but it just came to my mind for the title. The other's called "Easier" - a slower melancholic tune. We'll showcase the new songs pretty soon, so look out for it yeah?
